Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Wrocław, Poland will be the location for the installation of the first quantum computer in Poland. The IQM Spark, a full-stack superconducting quantum computer, is slated for installation at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST).

The 5-qubit system will be operational in Q2 2025. It will enable research in computer science and provide practical programming access for students.

IQM Quantum Computers is delivering the system. This will strengthen Poland's position as a quantum development hub in Central and Eastern Europe.

  • The system uses low-temperature superconducting qubit technology.

  • It will be available to researchers, doctoral candidates, and computer science students.

  • WUST aims to conduct research and educate IT specialists.
