Xiaomi Gears Up for Android 16: Beta Expected on Xiaomi 15 and 14T Pro, Update Confirmed for Over 20 Devices

Xiaomi is preparing to roll out Android 16, with beta versions anticipated for the Xiaomi 15 and 14T Pro. The company has confirmed the update for over 20 devices, including phones and tablets. Xiaomi typically releases Android betas around Google I/O in May, but an earlier release is possible this year. The final software could arrive as early as July 2025 if Google releases Android 16 in June as rumored. Android 16 will feature seamless app adaptation to different display sizes and support for the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec for higher bitrate video recording. Dynamic notifications will also appear on the lock screen. Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 is expected to accompany the Android 16 update, bringing additional features specific to Xiaomi devices.
