Xiaomi is preparing to roll out Android 16 to its smartphones and tablets, with updates confirmed for over 20 devices, and the list is expected to grow.
Beta versions of new Android operating systems have historically launched around Google I/O in May, but an earlier beta launch is possible, potentially in March for Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro.
The first Xiaomi phones could receive the update in July 2025, approximately four weeks after Google's release, assuming a June release by Google.
Xiaomi is expected to introduce exclusive features alongside Google's planned features, coinciding with a new version of the HyperOS user interface.
