Xiaomi to Launch YU7 Electric SUV and Xring O1 Mobile Chip

Xiaomi is set to launch its YU7 electric SUV, a competitor to Tesla's Model Y, in China. The launch will also include the Xring O1 mobile chip and the new Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone. Xiaomi began EV manufacturing with the SU7 sedan and aims to expand overseas from 2027. The company has invested 13.5 billion yuan in its Xring O1 chip and plans to invest at least 50 billion yuan more in chip design over the next 10 years. Xiaomi's return to mobile chip development aligns with its goal to become a leading hard technology company.
