Mazda Ez-60: New Tesla Model Y Rival Specs Unveiled

Mazda's upcoming Tesla Model Y rival, the EZ-60, shares ties with the Deepal S07 from Changan in China. Technical specifications have emerged, revealing a range-extending gasoline engine option. The EZ-60 features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine acting as a generator, charging a 31.7-kWh battery. This provides 88 miles (160 km) of range (CLTC cycle). The total driving range with the range extender is up to 808 miles (1,300 km). Power is delivered by a 255-horsepower electric motor at the rear axle, with the gasoline engine adding 97 hp as a generator. The EZ-60 weighs 4,391 pounds (1,992 kg). A fully electric version is also planned. The EZ-60 and EZ-6 are expected to be sold in other markets, including Europe as the 6e.
