VinFast, a Vietnamese electric car manufacturer, will establish a production facility in Subang, West Java, Indonesia. The factory aims to produce 50,000 electric vehicles with an investment of IDR 4 trillion. VinFast has acquired 120 hectares of land for this purpose, intending to make it a production hub in Indonesia. The target market is the middle class, with vehicles priced between IDR 200-600 million. VinFast plans to export electric cars globally and will introduce several models in Indonesia, including the VF 3, VF e34, and VF 5. Initially, 2,500 units will be imported to introduce the brand to the Indonesian market.
