Volkswagen ID.3 2025: New Affordable Version with Enhanced Battery and Interior

Volkswagen introduces a new, more affordable version of the ID.3 2025 electric car in China, starting at 119,900 yuan ($16,500). This base model features a larger battery, providing a range of 450 km. Produced in China by SAIC-VW, the ID.3 utilizes a new lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL with a capacity of 53.6 kWh, offering a range of 451 km. Charging from 30% to 80% takes 48 minutes. Externally, the 2025 ID.3 remains similar to its predecessor, but the interior boasts a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen and an updated climate control panel. A new central console with wireless smartphone charging has been added. Volkswagen is actively reducing prices to compete with Chinese models; for example, the VW ID.4 crossover now costs $19,200 in Ukraine.
