In China, a drone that was actually created for cleaning solar panels unexpectedly found itself a more grateful client.
During an outdoor demonstration of the equipment, someone noticed a stray dog nearby that was clearly feeling hot.
And then an idea came up:
let's show off the drone's capabilities not on a panel, but on a dog.
The drone flew closer and carefully doused the dog with cool water.
Judging by the video, the dog did not object.
What's more, at some point the whole scene stops looking like a technology presentation and starts to resemble a next-generation spa treatment.
The engineers may have wanted to show off the effectiveness of the spraying system.
But what they got was an advertisement for a service:
"Mobile dog shower. No appointment. No queue. Delivered by air."
The especially funny part is that the drone also performed its main function perfectly: it showed that it can deliver water precisely where it's needed.
It's just that this time the target wasn't a solar panel, but a very happy dog.
In the end, everyone won:
the drone demonstrated its capabilities, the people got a great video, and the dog got free cooling.
Sometimes the technologies of the future end up somewhere completely different from where they were planned.
And this is that rare case when artificial intelligence, automation and engineering came together for one very simple result: to make a dog less hot. 😄
