Canva Launches AI Video Feature Powered by Google's Veo 3

Edited by: Veronika Radoslavskaya

Canva has integrated Google's Veo 3 model to introduce an AI-powered video feature. This allows users to generate eight-second video clips from text or voice prompts.

The feature is available to paid users and Canva for nonprofit users. Initially, users are limited to five video generations per month.

Veo 3, unveiled by Google at I/O 2025, generates videos with synchronized audio, lip movements, and real-world physics. It also includes native audio generation.

To use the feature, users can select 'Create a Video Clip' in Canva AI. The AI then generates the video, which can be customized using Canva's editor.

Canva also acquired MagicBrief, an AI-powered creative intelligence startup. This acquisition enhances Canva's platform with advanced AI capabilities.
