Huawei's CloudMatrix 384 Supernode AI Infrastructure Aims to Outperform Nvidia in Data Centers
Huawei has introduced its CloudMatrix 384 Supernode, a new AI infrastructure designed to compete with Nvidia's offerings in the data center market. This development highlights the increasing competition between Chinese and U.S. technology companies in the field of artificial intelligence.
The CloudMatrix 384 Supernode is deployed in Wuhu, China. It reportedly achieves a performance of 300 petaflops. This exceeds the 180 petaflops offered by Nvidia's NVL72.
This launch signifies Huawei's ambition to become a major player in the AI infrastructure space. It also reflects the broader trend of technological rivalry between China and the United States.
