San Marino: Smallest Nation with Olympic Medals, Popovici's Training Conditions Highlighted

San Marino, a microstate enclaved within Italy, holds the distinction of being the smallest nation to ever win an Olympic medal. Despite a population of only 33,000, San Marino has secured three Olympic medals: one silver and two bronze. These medals were earned in shooting and wrestling. Meanwhile, Romanian Olympic champion David Popovici's training conditions have drawn attention. Popovici, who won gold in the 200m freestyle and bronze in the 100m freestyle at the Paris Olympics, trains in less-than-ideal conditions in Bucharest. He reportedly trains in an inflatable structure during winter, facing poor air quality. Despite offers to train abroad with better facilities, Popovici has chosen to remain in Romania.
