David Vencl: Freediver and Record-Breaker Achieves New Depths in Ice Diving and Guinness World Record

Known for his passion for cold water, Vencl recently contributed to a Guinness World Record, joining nearly 2,500 others in an ice swimming event. Vencl, who can hold his breath for an impressive eight minutes and thirty-five seconds, aims to extend this to nine minutes. He achieved a world record in 2021 for swimming underwater on his back under ice. In 2023, he set another record by diving to a depth of 52 meters under ice.
