Barrington Scott, a diver travel influencer, has achieved a Guinness World Record for the fastest person to scuba dive on all seven continents consecutively. He completed this feat in a mere 19 days, 19 hours, and four minutes. His journey spanned over 27,000 miles and included dives in Thailand, Malta, Egypt, Argentina, and culminated in Antarctica's frigid waters. Scott's record-breaking journey is the culmination of years of dedication. A former Marine who served in Afghanistan, Scott later earned a culinary degree and backpacked through Asia. He began diving in 2014 and eventually became a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT). He also authored a book, "Trent's Adventures: Deep Sea Discovery," to inspire young ocean explorers. Scott emphasizes the importance of representation in adventure sports, stating that his record is not just about making history but also about demonstrating that Black explorers and adventurers belong in these spaces and will continue to push boundaries.
