Melaka to Host ITF World Tennis Tour M15 Championship and Several Other International Tennis Tournaments in 2024

Melaka is set to host seven national and international tennis tournaments throughout 2024 at the Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council (MPHTJ) Tennis Complex. These events, scheduled from April to November, include the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 Melaka Championship from November 3-9. Datuk V.P. Shanmugan, the Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) Exco, announced that 15 countries have confirmed participation, including China, South Korea, and Indonesia. The ITF tournament is expected to attract ranked players seeking to accumulate points and improve their standings. Other notable tournaments include the Malaysian Junior Tennis Series Championship (May 21-25) and the Malaysia Open Tennis Championship (Sept 30-Oct 5). Melaka will also host the Melaka ATF for under-14 and 16-year-olds and the Melaka Heritage International Inter Team (MHIITT) 2025. The Melaka government supports these initiatives to develop tennis, enhance sports tourism, and unearth young local talents.
