Bulgarian Archer Damian Iliev Sets European Record at Youth Championship in Tallinn on February 13th

Damian Iliev, a 17-year-old archer from Bulgaria, achieved a significant milestone by setting a new European record in the 10-meter event at the European Youth Championship in Tallinn on February 13th.

Pencho Milkov, a coach, expressed pride in Iliev's accomplishment, highlighting his dedication and inspiration to younger athletes in Ruse. He emphasized the importance of discipline, perseverance, and unwavering self-belief in achieving success in sports.

Iliev credited his coaches and family for their support over the years, which motivated him to work hard and pursue victories. Looking ahead, he aims to secure a leading position at the European Championship in Croatia in March.

Borislav Rachev, Director of OP "Sports Properties", Lachezar Ivanov, Chairman of the Municipal Council in Ruse, Hristo Beloe, Municipal Councilor, and Emil Denkov and Maya Petrova, Directors of the Student Sports School, also attended the event to support the young athlete.
