Nashville-based Big Loud has sold a minority stake in Morgan Wallen's master recordings to Chord Music Partners for over $200 million in April 2025. The deal includes a minority holding in Wallen's first three studio albums, highlighting the artist's significant market value.
The $200 million valuation underscores Wallen's widespread popularity, especially with his upcoming fourth LP, "I'm The Problem," scheduled for release on May 16, 2025. The album features collaborations with artists like Post Malone and includes tracks co-written by Wallen himself.
Chord Music Partners, established in 2021, has a diverse portfolio including music by The Weeknd, Ryan Tedder, and John Legend. UMG acquired a 25.8% stake in Chord last year for $240 million, further solidifying Chord's position in the music industry. Wallen is also set to embark on the Live Nation-produced "I'm the Problem Tour" starting June 20, 2025, in Houston, further promoting his new album.
