Self Esteem, the musical project of Rebecca Lucy Taylor, launched her new album, A Complicated Woman, with a series of theatrical performances at the Duke of York's Theatre in London in April 2025. The show blended artistic expression with a power pop club vibe.

Featuring hard-edged digital club music and a cast of 10 dancers, the performances created a captivating atmosphere. The setlist included tracks from the new album, such as Mother and Lies, which explore themes of self-reliance, personal growth, and confronting falsehoods. Hits from her previous album, Prioritise Pleasure, like Wizardry and I Do This All the Time, were also featured.

Inspired by David Byrne's American Utopia tour and Mitski, the theatrical presentation involved synchronized movements and complex staging, including simulated carnality and football kits. The show concluded with the upbeat dance-pop track Cheers to Me, encouraging audience participation and featuring a speech about perseverance and community.

A Complicated Woman was released on April 25, 2025, and Self Esteem is scheduled to tour the UK and Ireland in support of the album in September and October 2025.
