Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, recently shared mental health practices he finds helpful. This comes while the band is on their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Martin posted a video on Instagram from Hong Kong detailing these methods, hoping they might benefit others facing similar struggles.

Martin highlighted free-form writing, suggesting writing down thoughts and worries for twelve minutes and then discarding the paper. He mentioned Transcendental Meditation, which he finds beneficial for mental balance and clarity. The technique involves silent repetition of a word or phrase.

Martin further discussed proprioception, emphasizing conscious body movement to stimulate the brain, referencing the Costello method developed by Jim Costello, especially helpful for young people with ADHD or autism. He also cited Jon Hopkins' album 'Music For Psychedelic Therapy' as a therapeutic sonic experience. Martin acknowledged the importance of mental health awareness, having previously spoken about his own struggles, particularly after his separation from Gwyneth Paltrow. He also recommended the film 'Sing Sing', music by Chloe Qisha, and the book 'The Oxygen Advantage'.
