The actors, who portrayed Rick and Chelsea in the recent season of the HBO show, sparked speculation after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Speaking at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5th, Wood addressed her relationship with Goggins, who is set to host Saturday Night Live on May 10th. She hinted at a potential surprise appearance on Goggins' upcoming SNL episode.
Wood clarified that she would still appear on SNL despite a recent skit that mocked her teeth. Wood stated, "Yeah! Why not? It would be fun," and "I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever". She further dispelled feud rumors, stating, "I actually saw him two days ago. We haven't had that much time to debrief about everything. So every time we see each other, there's never time".

Adding to the speculation, Goggins and Wood refollowed each other on Instagram on May 5th. This followed reports that Goggins seemingly shut down questions about Wood during an interview.
