Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been sentenced to nine months in jail. This sentence stems from a probation violation in Palm Beach, Florida, dating back to February.
The violation occurred when Lohan assaulted his ex-wife, Kate Major. He was initially on probation for illegally brokering patients and profiting from referring addicts to rehab centers in Florida.
Reports indicate Lohan pocketed at least $25,000 in illegal kickbacks three years ago. He confessed to assaulting Kate Major, who reported injuries to authorities.
Major appeared in court via Zoom from Texas, where she resides with her children. She has also filed a protective order against Lohan. He will receive credit for 38 days already served, but could remain incarcerated for the rest of 2025. A charge of "continuous violence against the family" is still pending.
