Preity Zinta Denounces Congress's Loan Write-Off Allegations as 'Fake News'

Actress Preity Zinta has vehemently denied allegations made by the Congress party's Kerala unit, claiming she received an Rs 18 crore loan write-off in exchange for handing over her social media accounts to the BJP. Zinta took to social media to refute the claims, calling them "vile gossip" and "fake news." She clarified that she manages her own social media and that a loan she took over 10 years ago was fully repaid. Mumbai Police officials investigating a separate Rs 122 crore embezzlement case at the New India Cooperative Bank confirmed that Zinta's loan is not part of their investigation. The Congress Kerala unit initially shared a news article making the allegations but later backtracked, stating they were simply sharing media reports and were open to correcting any errors.
