In fresh photos from the Emmy ceremony, Lisa Kudrow appeared not alone, but together with her only son Julian Murray Stern.
And here one can only say one thing:
oh, what a lovely son Phoebe has!
Julian is now 28 years old. He has long since ceased to be merely "the son of a star of “Friends”": he graduated from the USC film school, works in film and acting, and in the new season of “The Comeback” he even appeared alongside his mother.
At the Emmys they arrived in matching, strictly black outfits and looked very striking.
And the story is especially sweet for fans of “Friends”: when Lisa was pregnant with Julian, her pregnancy was written into the series' plot. That was exactly when Phoebe became a surrogate mother for her brother's children.
So it turns out Julian was effectively "present" on the set even before he was born.
What's new with Lisa Kudrow herself
In 2026, Kudrow is once again being actively talked about thanks to the third and final season of “The Comeback”.
Lisa doesn't just play Valerie Cherish — she also writes the series together with Michael Patrick King. For this season she received two Emmy nominations at once — as an actress and as a screenwriter.
The most touching part is that Julian also appeared in this season, playing the tech specialist Evan in several episodes.
That is, mother and son worked together in front of the camera on a full scale for the first time.
And judging by interviews, Lisa sometimes forgot that they were, after all, at work: she could snuggle up to her son in a completely motherly way right there on the set.
And what about her latest films and series?
Among her recent projects, a few stand out in particular.
“The Parenting” (The Parenting, 2025) — a horror comedy in which Kudrow plays Liddy. She stars alongside Parker Posey, Brian Cox, Edie Falco and others. It is one of her most recent feature-length projects.
“No Good Deed” (No Good Deed, 2024) — a Netflix black comedy in which she plays Lydia Morgan, the wife of Ray Romano's character. Eight episodes about a family trying to sell a beautiful house in Los Angeles, behind whose facade hides a story that is not beautiful at all.
“Time Bandits” (Time Bandits, 2024) — an adventure series in which she played Penelope, the leader of a group of time travelers. A light, family-friendly and rather madcap project — in the good sense.
And then there's the main current project — the same “The Comeback”, which after many years brought Valerie Cherish back to the screen and in 2026 concludes the story with a third season.
And ahead for Kudrow there is another pleasant thing for fans of the 90s: she will once again play Michele in the sequel to “Romy and Michele's High School Reunion”, which is expected in 2027.
All in all, everything is wonderful for Phoebe.
Her son has grown up handsome and tall, went into film, and even acts alongside his mother.
And Lisa Kudrow herself in 63 is once again receiving Emmy nominations, writing her own series and preparing to return to yet another of her cult roles.
A very worthy continuation after “Friends”.
