Europe witnessed its warmest March on record, according to the European Copernicus Observatory. While most of the continent experienced unprecedented warmth, the Iberian Peninsula and southern France were notable exceptions. Some regions, including Spain and Portugal, faced extreme rainfall, reaching record levels. In contrast, the Netherlands and northern Germany experienced historically dry conditions. Globally, March 2025 was the second warmest March ever recorded, slightly cooler than the record set in March 2024. The average global temperature for March 2025 reached 14.06 degrees Celsius, only 0.08 degrees below the March 2024 record.
