Mount Dukono Erupts, Sending Ash 1,100 Meters High on March 20

Mount Dukono erupted on March 20 2025, according to the Mount Api (PGA) Dukono Observation Post. The eruption sent a column of ash 1,100 meters into the air, as reported by PGA Dukono official Bambang Sugiono. The volcano, which stands at 1,087 meters above sea level, is currently at Level II (Alert) status. Residents are advised to prepare masks to protect themselves from volcanic ash, which is periodically released and dispersed by wind.
