Snow In Texas - January 19, 2025

On January 19, 2025, an arctic cold front swept through Texas, resulting in light snowfall across the panhandle, South Plains, and parts of the Big Country. Residents in Amarillo and Lubbock reported morning temperatures ranging from 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit, that is about -10 -12 degrees Celsius.

The National Weather Service has raised concerns over an impending wave of arctic air expected to affect Texas from January 19 to January 21. Forecasts indicate that temperatures will drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit in many regions, particularly in the Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and Rolling Plains.
