A Devon woman, Denise Bettey, recorded multiple unidentified flying objects in Clearbrook, moving in unusual patterns. The sighting occurred on January 28, 2025, as she noticed three lights above while leaving a car park. Two lights vanished into clouds but reappeared shortly after.
She described the lights as performing a 'vanishing act,' noting, 'We saw three lights, got my phone out, two had disappeared, then three lights appeared again and just disappeared.'
This event follows a series of unexplained drone sightings over New Jersey and the East Coast, which were recently attributed to authorized FAA research and hobbyists. Over 650 sightings have been reported since November 2024, with officials assuring the public that these drones pose no threat.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized, 'This was not the enemy,' clarifying that many sightings were linked to recreational drone activity. The increase in sightings has sparked curiosity and concern, prompting investigations by the FBI and local authorities.
