Unverified CIA Documents Spark Alien Encounter Claims: Echoes of 1964?

Edited by: Uliana Аj

Claims have resurfaced regarding alleged CIA documents detailing a supposed encounter between a US intelligence officer and extraterrestrials in the New Mexico desert. The purported meeting, said to have occurred on April 25, 1964, involved a three-hour exchange of information. However, the FBI maintains that these documents are likely forgeries.

According to the unverified documents, initial contact was supposedly made in 1959 through Project Sigma, which began in 1954, using binary radio signals. A response allegedly came five years later, setting the stage for the 1964 meeting. The documents also reference Majestic 12 (MJ-12), a group of scientists and military officials supposedly formed by President Truman following the 1947 Roswell incident.

MJ-12 was allegedly responsible for projects related to alien communication, UFO research, and the analysis of recovered spacecraft. Project Snowbird, purportedly launched in 1972, supposedly tested recovered alien aircraft, possibly at Area 51. The documents, which first surfaced in 1991 at the Ronald Reagan Library, list figures such as Roscoe Hillenkoetter and Vannevar Bush. Skeptics point to a 1953 CIA memo advising against public discussion of UFOs, adding to the controversy. The Roswell incident continues to fuel conspiracy theories, despite explanations attributing the debris to a military balloon.
