Global Leaders to Convene in Nice for UN Ocean Conference

Over one hundred heads of state are set to gather in Nice from June 9-13 for the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), where they will commit to preserving the ocean. The conference aims to address critical issues such as plastic pollution, overfishing, and heatwaves that threaten marine ecosystems. Nice-Matin and Var-matin are encouraging public participation by collecting ideas to protect the Mediterranean. Submitted proposals will be voted on by internet users, with the most popular ones analyzed, published online, and featured in the 'Agora Solutions' section of the newspaper until mid-June. This initiative seeks to involve the public in finding solutions for the health of the Mediterranean Sea.
