In a significant environmental undertaking, the Jawa Tengah provincial government in Indonesia has launched the "Mageri Segoro" program. This initiative aims to plant 1.5 million mangrove trees across 150 hectares by December 2025.

PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) is actively supporting the program, contributing to the planting efforts. On World Environment Day 2025, BPI planted 1,000 Rhizophora and 250 api-api mangrove seedlings along the Batang coast.

The project, which began on June 5, 2025, involves planting mangroves in 17 regencies and cities throughout Jawa Tengah. Over 200,000 mangrove trees have already been planted across 30 hectares.

The program seeks to protect the coastline from erosion and saltwater intrusion, while also enhancing biodiversity. It is hoped that the initiative will improve the local economy through fisheries and other related activities.
