The Cristo Rey Integral Corridor in Cali, Colombia, is expanding in 2025 with new sections open to the public. The Corporación Autónoma Regional del Valle del Cauca (CVC) has handed over completed sections to Dagma, enhancing the native habitat experience.
Located at Calle 10 Oeste with Carrera 36 B, the corridor offers elevated paths and plazas for observing the tropical dry forest. Visitors can explore the transition between the urban and rural landscapes, with infrastructure designed for contemplation of the native flora and fauna.
Recent additions include 400 meters of elevated trails, 300 meters of ground-level paths, four small plazas, and 1200 square meters of pollinator gardens. The project aims to recover the landscape and incorporate environmental protection, featuring species like guayacán and gualanday. The new trails are expected to be open for locals and visitors to enjoy.
