Burgos, Spain, is hosting the 2025 Flower Festival from May 16-18, an event organized by the Burgos Association of Florists and Gardeners (FLojabur). Mayor Cristina Ayala highlights the festival's role in transforming the city and supporting Burgos's bid to become the European City of Culture in 2031.
The 11th edition of the festival, themed 'Burgos blooms to the rhythm of dance,' celebrates dance through floral artistry. Fourteen floral projects are displayed across locations like Cuatro Reyes and the Burgos Cathedral. The festival includes activities for all ages, a photography contest, and a flower market.
The festival is also designed to complement the Dance World Cup, which will be held in Burgos from July 3-12, 2025. Some floral compositions will remain on display until the Dance World Cup. The Burgos City Council supports the festival with 140,000 euros, enhancing the market with organic furniture.
