Thousands of students across five Amazonian regions in Peru are actively participating in science and technology clubs, driving innovative projects to protect the Amazon's rich biodiversity. These clubs, supported by Concytec, engage students in Amazonas, Loreto, Madre de Dios, San Martín, and Ucayali.
These initiatives focus on flora and fauna conservation, recycling, sustainability, and environmental protection. Experiencia Eureka, organized by Concytec in collaboration with the Instituto de Investigaciones de la Amazonía Peruana (IIAP), offers workshops for EUREKA 2025 participants to learn from Amazonian biodiversity researchers. Registration for EUREKA 2025 is open from March 10 to July 15, 2025.
These clubs are extracurricular spaces where students and teachers explore STEM fields. Concytec provides ongoing support to schools interested in joining this network. The University of Birmingham is launching the Engage Amazonia 2025 program to foster research collaborations focused on addressing Amazonian challenges.
