Guided Tours Return to Bandella Nature Reserve in Tuscany, Italy

Starting March 16, 2025, free guided tours will resume at the Bandella Nature Reserve in Tuscany, Italy. These tours, led by CAI Valdarno in collaboration with WWF Arezzo and other local organizations, offer a unique opportunity to explore the diverse flora and fauna of this protected area. The reserve, spanning over 500 hectares, features a variety of habitats, including forests, cultivated lands, and wetlands. Visitors can observe plant species like oaks, willows, poplars, alders, and holm oaks, as well as a rich avifauna including birds of prey and woodpeckers. The Bandella oasis, formed by a dam in 1956, has become an important site for biodiversity, attracting numerous aquatic bird species and other wildlife. Tours will be held on select Sundays throughout the year, offering a chance to admire the scenic beauty and environmental significance of this Tuscan oasis.
