Over 80 Dogs Rescued from Appalling Conditions in Tickhill

Edited by: Olga N

South Yorkshire Police and the RSPCA rescued over 80 dogs, two cats, and a chicken from a house in Tickhill, Doncaster. The animals were found living in appalling conditions, with rooms covered in filth and excrement. Officers discovered 78 Springer Spaniels and four other dogs crammed into the property.

The team was immediately taken aback by the smell, the conditions, and the sheer number of animals inside. The property was filled with feces and filth in every room. Each dog was taken from the property to safety.

Chief Inspector Emma Cheney emphasized the importance of teamwork in addressing animal cruelty. The investigation to find those responsible is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities, quoting incident number 180 of April 17, 2025.
