Following a significant downturn on Monday, April 7, 2025, the Indian stock market showed strong recovery signs on Tuesday, April 8. The BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 875.83 points, reaching 74,013.73. Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 index opened at 22,446.75, marking an increase of 285.15 points. On Monday, Sensex had opened with a loss of 3914.75 points at 71,449.94, and Nifty had opened with a loss of 1146 points at 21,758.40. On Tuesday, 29 out of 30 companies listed on the Sensex saw their shares open in the green, while only one experienced losses. Similarly, for the Nifty 50, 46 out of 50 companies opened with gains, and 4 with losses. Tata Steel led the Sensex gainers with a 5.02% increase, while Sun Pharma experienced a slight decrease of 0.28%. This positive opening indicates a strong rebound in the Indian stock market following the previous day's slump.
