Anna Wintour, the influential British editor, is stepping down as the editor-in-chief of Vogue US after 37 years. The announcement was made during a meeting with the magazine's staff on June 26, 2025.
Wintour will continue in her roles as global content director of Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue. She will oversee all of the group's brands worldwide, excluding The New Yorker.
Her decision to delegate the daily operations of Vogue US is part of a broader restructuring of Condé Nast. A successor for the editor-in-chief role has not yet been announced.
