The U.S. SEC approved options trading on spot Ethereum ETFs, including those from BlackRock and Grayscale. This decision, announced today, allows investors to manage risk and leverage positions without directly holding ETH. Following the announcement, Ether's price surged, gaining over 14% in 24 hours to around $1,675, according to CoinMarketCap data. BlackRock's ETHA currently holds $1.8 billion in assets. The approval comes almost a year after spot Ethereum ETFs were first launched.
