Bitcoin experienced a significant drop on Sunday, falling below $80,000 for the first time since early March. The world's largest cryptocurrency fell over 3% in just two hours and is down 3.4% in the past 24 hours. Ethereum fared worse, declining nearly 8% in the same period, pushing the ETHBTC ratio to a five-year low. The top 30 cryptocurrencies are down over 6% over the past day, while the GMCI 30 index is down over 32% year-to-date. This dip occurred as international markets opened amid uncertain macroeconomic conditions following U.S. President Trump's tariff impositions last Wednesday.
