Ripple Partners with Chipper Cash to Enhance Cross-Border Payments in Africa

Ripple Labs announced today a partnership with Chipper Cash to improve cross-border payments in Africa. Chipper Cash will integrate Ripple Payments, using digital assets to provide 24/7 access to funds at lower costs. This collaboration aims to reduce friction for users across nine African countries receiving money globally. Ripple Payments now reaches over 90 payout markets, covering 90% of daily foreign exchange markets, and processes over $70 billion in volume. Chipper Cash, founded in 2018, serves millions of customers and raised $305 million in total capital, valuing the company at $2 billion after a $150 million Series C round in November 2021.
