A recent survey by Coinbase and EY-Parthenon, conducted between January 13 and January 24, reveals growing institutional interest in cryptocurrencies. The survey, which included 352 institutional investors, found that 86% have exposure to digital assets or plan to allocate in 2025. Notably, 84% increased their crypto allocations in 2024, and 59% plan to allocate over 5% of their assets under management to crypto in 2025. Regulatory clarity is seen as a key growth catalyst, with altcoins also gaining traction; 73% of respondents hold tokens beyond Bitcoin and Ether. Furthermore, about half leverage stablecoins, and 60% prefer exposure via registered vehicles like ETPs. The survey included decision-makers in the U.S. and Europe, with global participation.
