Southeast Asia is experiencing a surge in artificial intelligence (AI) adoption. Projections indicate that AI and generative AI (GenAI) could contribute approximately $120 billion to the region's gross domestic product (GDP) by 2027.

Tech giants are making significant investments in the region. Microsoft committed $1.7 billion to develop cloud and AI infrastructure in Indonesia. Google invested $2 billion in a data center and cloud region in Malaysia. Amazon joined with a $50 billion commitment to the region's AI sector.
