Costa Rica To Get eVTOL Air Mobility

Edited by: Елена 11

Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer, is partnering with Aerosolutions and Bluenest to bring electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft operations to Costa Rica.

This initiative aims to develop an advanced air mobility (AAM) ecosystem in the country, potentially delivering up to 50 eVTOL aircraft.

The focus is on the Pacific northwest region of Guanacaste, connecting airports to resorts and eco-destinations within a 20-50 kilometer radius, reducing road congestion and promoting sustainable tourism.

Eve's eVTOL aircraft will carry four passengers and a pilot, with a range of up to 60 miles.

Flight tests are scheduled for the summer of 2025, with certification expected by 2027.

The partnership will also include workshops on vertiport development, airspace integration, pilot training, and certification.

This collaboration represents a significant step in advancing urban air mobility solutions in Costa Rica.
