Namibia is set to make travel easier for tourists with the launch of a simplified e-visa system, effective April 1st. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHASS) announced the initiative, designed to streamline the visa application process for international visitors. The new system includes an e-visa for visa-on-arrival and a simplified visa-on-arrival application form. According to Etienne Maritz, Executive Director of MHASS, the user-friendly online portal will allow tourists to apply for visas from their homes, making the entire entry process more efficient and seamless. The launch event on March 3rd provided comprehensive details on visa requirements, fees, eligible countries, and designated ports of entry. This move aligns with international standards and aims to enhance Namibia's accessibility, ensuring a smoother travel experience for visitors.
