It would seem, what else could surprise the internet in the run-up to Halloween? We have already seen dogs in dinosaur costumes, cats in witches' hats, and even pets portraying heroes of Hollywood blockbusters.
But the Persian cats from the account @walterbishopthecat decided to take the art of transformation to a completely new level (27 October 2026 — the news was published in the USA).
They became the heroines of the legendary American comedy series "The Golden Girls."
And it turned out so convincing that these fluffy actresses deserve to be awarded the television Emmy Award!
For those unfamiliar with the series, a brief explanation.
"The Golden Girls" is a famous American comedy that aired from 1985 to 1992. At the center of the plot are four mature women living together in Miami.
The series told of their friendship, romantic adventures, family problems, and endless arguments. Its main feature was its sharp humor, self-irony, and the utterly inimitable characters of the heroines.
And now the legendary quartet has fluffy doubles!
Sophia Petrillo — the oldest and one of the wittiest characters in the series — received a gray curly wig and a yellow outfit. Judging by the expression on her little face, her feline version is already ready to tell everyone present how to live properly.
Rose Nylund appeared with blonde curls and a sweet, slightly bewildered gaze. That is exactly what her television character was like — good-natured, naive, and capable of telling an incredible story about literally anything.
Blanche Devereaux was dressed in pink satin, adorned with pearls, and given an elegant hairstyle. A true socialite! And it does not matter in the slightest that we are looking at a cat.
It seems she is already ready to flirt with every cat within a radius of several kilometers.
But the real star was Dorothy Zbornak.
She got a silver wig, a stern look, and a completely inimitable expression on her face.
The cat stared into the camera as if she had spent the last thirty years putting up with her relatives' silly questions, ill-mannered neighbors, and endless talk about rising utility bills.
And her patience had finally run out!
😹 TikTok users especially appreciated that very expression. One commenter noted that the little face grew angrier and angrier as the transformation into Dorothy progressed.
Others suggested renaming the famous series The Golden Purrls — something like "The Golden Purrls."
And someone demanded that cheesecake be brought to the heroines immediately!
And not by chance. In the original series, the four friends often gathered in the kitchen over a slice of cheesecake, discussing their problems and life's adventures.
By the way, the feline transformations are not the first creative work of these fluffy artists.
Previously, they had already appeared as characters from the famous "The Muppet Show": Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, the Swedish Chef, and other heroes.
Apparently, these cats have a far larger wardrobe than many people do.
And they probably have a personal stylist too!
True, there is one small detail: the account features three Persian cats, but there are four "Golden Girls" looks. But for true stars, transforming several times is a normal thing.
Now fans are suggesting making a full-fledged feline version of the series.
Imagine four armchairs, a television, a cozy living room, and fluffy pensioners who discuss young people all day long.
— Sophia, did you eat my dinner again?
— At my age, darling, one can't pass up opportunities!
— Blanche, stop flirting with the neighbor's cat!
— But he's so young and looks wonderful!
— Dorothy, why are you so angry?
— Because these people put that wig on me again! 😹
All that's left is to assign the cats a pension, issue them senior citizens' club cards, and allow them to officially complain about the modern generation.
Though judging by the expression on Dorothy's little face, she started complaining well before retirement! 😂
