While millions of cat owners try to coax their pets into at least washing their paws, one unusual cat has decided to completely shatter the notion of cats' hatred of water.
She doesn't just love water. She demands that the shower be turned on for her every morning!
The owner shared a funny video in which her four-legged lover of water treatments comes to the bathroom on her own, climbs into the shower stall and patiently waits for her morning ritual to begin.
What's more, the cat doesn't come there because she's gotten dirty, and certainly not because the owner has decided to wash her.
She simply enjoys playing with water!
As soon as the shower is turned on, the fluffy visitor happily watches the streams, tries to catch them with her paws and has absolutely no intention of leaving the bathroom.
For most cats, a running shower is a reason to evacuate the room immediately. But for this one, it's a signal that the long-awaited entertainment session has finally begun.
What's especially funny is that the pet, judging by the owner's account, has turned water entertainment into a daily habit. Now it's not just a game but a full-fledged item on the morning schedule.
And just try explaining to the cat that today is a day off and water treatments are cancelled!
In general, despite the widespread stereotype, far from all cats are afraid of water. Some adore watching flowing streams, playing with drops from the tap and even climbing into the bathtub. A love of water is especially common among certain representatives of breeds such as the Turkish Van and the Bengal cat.
Experts explain such behavior by, among other things, natural curiosity and hunting instincts. Moving water attracts cats' attention in much the same way as a wriggling toy.
But this particular cat, it seems, has managed to combine hunting, entertainment and a morning SPA ritual.
So, cats used to wake their owners at five in the morning demanding breakfast. Now some demand that the shower stall be opened as well!
All that's left is to put a little bench in there, hand out a fluffy robe, offer aromatherapy and teach the cat to pay the water bills herself.
Although the last one most likely contradicts feline philosophy:
