Universitas Indonesia (UI) is exploring a shift towards becoming an 'entrepreneurship hub.' Professor Ratna Wardhani, a candidate for Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UI), advocates for this strategic move. This initiative aims to position the campus as a practical contributor to the business and entrepreneurial world, beyond just an academic institution. The concept involves the university actively fostering entrepreneurship among students, faculty, alumni, and the surrounding community. This goes beyond offering entrepreneurship courses. It transforms the campus into an ecosystem that supports startups and innovation. Professor Wardhani presented this idea as part of her strategic plan for FEB UI's development, aligning with national economic trends and global higher education. Her vision also includes strengthening the research ecosystem through international collaborations. Additionally, she proposes establishing an endowment fund to support academic activities, leveraging alumni networks and industry connections.
