Microsoft has announced that Meta Quest 3 users will soon access the full capabilities of Windows 11 via streaming from their local PCs or Windows 365 Cloud PCs. This feature, set for public preview in December, aims to enhance productivity by allowing users to set up multiple virtual monitors within their VR environment.
While the Quest 3 will not run Windows natively, the integration positions it against the Apple Vision Pro, marketed as a spatial computer. Users will connect seamlessly to their Windows devices, potentially improving productivity workflows.
However, the Quest 3's contextual resolution of 25 pixels per degree lags behind the Apple Vision Pro's 34 pixels per degree, affecting text clarity on virtual screens. Despite this, the integration could invigorate interest in the Quest series.
