SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 05, 2024 — NVIDIA has announced the opening of its first research and development center in Vietnam, highlighting the country's potential in artificial intelligence (AI).
The new center will focus on software development and aims to collaborate with the Vietnamese government, industry leaders, startups, universities, and students to enhance AI adoption.
"We are delighted to open NVIDIA's R&D center to accelerate Vietnam's AI journey," said Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA. The center will support the development of AI applications across key sectors, including healthcare, education, transportation, and finance.
Vietnam's rapid economic growth and government support for technology have fostered a burgeoning AI market. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of innovation in the nation's development strategy.
NVIDIA has been actively investing in Vietnam's technology sector for eight years, engaging with over 100 AI startups and 65 universities in the country.
