UK startup 9fin has raised €47.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Highland Europe. This funding will enhance its AI-driven analytics platform for debt capital markets and support its expansion into the US.
9fin's technology provides rapid access to various financial instruments, including high-yield bonds and leveraged loans, and is utilized by nearly 200 firms managing €16 trillion in assets. The platform incorporates generative AI for advanced tools like real-time updates and improved search capabilities.
Co-founder and CEO Steven Hunter emphasized that debt markets are currently underserved by technology, stating, "We started 9fin to give professionals in the market a data edge, with smarter, faster intelligence." The company has seen a 400% increase in Annual Recurring Revenue since its last funding round in 2022 and has expanded its workforce to 240 employees.
Highland Europe's Co-founder Fergal Mullen noted that 9fin's commitment to innovation positions it as a leader in the growing debt market sector.
