Egyptian Wushu Team Shines at World Championship

The Egyptian national Wushu Kung Fu team achieved remarkable success at the 9th World Championship for Youth and Juniors held in Brunei from September 21 to 30, securing a total of 11 medals. The event saw participation from 80 countries, highlighting the competitive nature of the championship.

Egypt finished third overall, trailing only behind Iran and China, marking a significant accomplishment for the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation. In the Sanda competitions, the Egyptian team earned six medals, including two golds from Youssef Karim Al-Bahai, alongside bronze medals for Salma Abdel Hamid, Gamal Mansour, Omar Abdel Maksood, and Habiba Ramadan.

In the styles category, Ammar Hassan clinched a silver medal, while Saif Hamdi won both a silver and a bronze. Bilal Hassan and Yumna Mohamed also contributed to the medal tally with two bronze medals each. Sherif Mustafa, the head of the Egyptian and Arab African Federation and vice president of the International Wushu Kung Fu Federation, expressed gratitude towards the coaching staff and athletes for their outstanding performance, which positioned them among the world's elite competitors.
